Anyone interested in what the heck Andy is doing??

Well... STILL no letter.. or phone call... or ANYTHING! But I did research a little about the Great Lakes bootcamp and found a breakdown of what Andy is probably going through. It may have changed some, but I found it helpful (sorta) to read some of the experiences he is going through. Here is the link :)

That was great. I remember some of those things from the Army (gas chamber, PT drills, etc.). But, what about the daily trips to Starbucks. I thought this was the Navy? I would love to see Andy in a picture in his "smurfs." Does he know how to swim ... I can't remember. I think we went water skiing but he had a life jacket on every time he fell.

Karrie, what week is he in since he went in on a Wednesday? I figure he is just starting week three. Is that right? If that is right he should be almost through the toughest part. Still praying ... Dad H.

Atually.. I think that Andy is in week one. Because he arrived on the 29th and the first week is set aside for processing. So that means he just started "real" bootcamp last Wednesday :( I wish he was in week 3 that would mean he's closer to coming home! Yeah, he knows how to swim :P

I thought he knew how. On the week he is in I was hoping since he started on a Wednesday they would get the processing done before that next Monday and he could get started. Wishful thinking on my part, I guess. I will mark all the Friday's from late December through the middle of January on my calendar. I have to go to conference in St. Louis, MO on Jan. 16, but I am sure it will be before that.

Maybe they did get it done before that Monday, I don't really know:( Are the graduations always on Fridays?? I didn't hear that anywhere.

Oh my goodness!!
Happy Birthday to my baby brother!
I was in the Windy City all weekend! I did not see him :( - but, I did see 2 Navy guys in little white Navy Hats at the mall. I started walking toward them very fast - until Dan pulled my arm and told me "NO - you can't ask them". I said, "common!! I can just tell them to say hi to him"
Dan convinced me that they could be his superior officers. So, I didn't say anything.
It's the thought that counts anyway, right?
